Commpetition Background

Exploring the vast universe is a common dream of all humanity. Since ancient times, humans have had endless imaginations about the vast universe and an unwavering pursuit of exploring and understanding it. In the 20th century and beyond, with the progress of science and technology, people have gradually unveiled a small part of the mysterious veil of the universe through various types of planetary, asteroid, and satellite probes, including missions to the Moon, Mars, Venus, and more. With the majestic mountains and pristine waters as our backdrop, as we gaze up at the vast starry sky, we explore the boundless universe, protect our Earth home, enhance the well-being of our people, and strive to make our common human habitat a better place.

Coinciding with the completion of the China Space Station in 2022, this unique experimental environment of the space station provides a special space experimental platform for further exploring the vast universe. It offers a historic opportunity for multidisciplinary, systematic, and long-term space science research, creating the prerequisites for the comprehensive development of space science and payload technology. Since the 1st International Space Science and Scientific Payload Competition was held, attracted active participation from more than 50 countries and nearly 80 universities, with a total of 116 registered teams and over 1,000 participants, left a positive impact both domestically and internationally.

Under the countless stars and across boundless seas, our journey to ISSSP 2024 has already begun!
